This website was constructed partially to demonstrate that I can actually do this web stuff, but mostly to replace my old, long-outdated website. (I started a blog in late 2000, it grew into a regularly-updated and moderately popular personal site over 5 years, then fell into neglect once I entered graduate school and ran out of free time.)

This website is almost entirely my own work—the only items not personally created by me are Nifty Cube, SlideShare, and a few tiny images. The design (concept, scope, and presentation) and implementation (frontend and backend) are my own work.

On the backend, this site is built on PHP and MySQL, using my own small-scale, MVC-like pattern.
